❄️December PTSA Updates and Events

December starts tomorrow, and we have another full month of opportunities to support the school and build community!

Your Donations in Action

Did you know the 2024-2025 Resource Survey showed how much our community values outdoor education? When Washington State couldn’t fund the Outdoor Learning Grant due to budget challenges, affecting many schools, the Hazel Wolf PTSA Board voted to fill the gap so our 5th and 8th graders can go on the much-loved overnight trips.

PTSA Resource Survey Results

At the end of the 2024–2025 school year, we asked families to complete a resource survey to help the PTSA set its priorities. With changing financial conditions, the board wanted to understand what our community values most.

We received a 35% response rate, evenly distributed across all grades except this year’s kindergarten families. The results were presented at the October PTSA general session.

2025 Reflections Art Contest

The Washington State PTA Reflections Art Contest is a wonderful opportunity for students to unleash their creativity and share their work at the state and national level.

This year’s theme, “I Belong!”, can be expressed through Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Photography, or Visual Arts (including sculpture and ceramics). Entries are due December 1, 2025.

Entries are judged on creativity and interpretation, not skill level. Students may enter individually in their age group: PreK–K, 1–2, 3–5, or 6–8. An Accessible Arts Division is also available for students with a 504 or IEP.

Top entries advance to Seattle Council, State, and National PTA levels.

Submissions: Visual Art submissions and entry forms should be returned to the student’s art teacher. For all other categories, submissions and entry forms can be emailed to christinem99@hotmail.com
