Every paddle raised and ticket purchased helps sustain the programs that make our school community strong, supported, and connected.

Here’s what your support helps make possible:

  • Outdoor learning & field trips
From local field experiences to overnight trips for 5th and 8th graders, PTSA funding helps ensure students can learn beyond the classroom.
  • Student tutoring support
Seven PTSA-funded tutors provide more than 100 hours of support each week, helping students in grades 1–8 build confidence and succeed academically.
  • Classroom & program grants
Every full-time teacher receives a $400 PTSA Classroom Grant to enhance learning. These funds also support vital programs like Engineering, Art, Music, PE, and library learning.
  • Racial Equity Committee
This work supports BIPOC students while helping foster a school culture where every student feels seen, valued, and supported.
  • Family Support Program
PTSA helps meet basic needs like learning scholarships, coats, and shoes. During the Fall 2025 Coat Drive, families requested 81 coats — four times more than the previous year.
  • Community-building events
From the Fall Harvest Festival and movie nights to Multicultural Night and Glow Dance, PTSA funding helps create the events that bring our community together.

When you show up for the auction, you’re helping make all of this possible — for every student, every classroom, and every family in our Hazel Wolf community.

Fall Recap: A Busy Start to the School Year

With only a couple of weeks left in 2025, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the many ways our PTSA helped bring the school community together this year.

⏰Reminder: Early Bird Pricing Ends Dec. 31

Before reading about all the PTSA fun, grab your Spring Masquerade Auction tickets at the early bird price ($85) by December 31! While you’re at it, invite a friend or two!

Kicking Off the School Year

We started the year with a successful Goodwill Donation Drive, where families and community members filled the truck with generous donations. New and returning families were welcomed at First Day Coffee and the Welcome Picnic—setting the tone for a connected and supportive year ahead.

General Session

Our first PTSA General Session brought many new faces. Families received updates from Dr. Brueder, reviewed the results of the Resource Survey, and approved the calendar and budget for the year. It was a great opportunity to share ideas, celebrate successes, and build momentum for the year ahead.

Community Events

Families came together to cheer on the Reign as they advanced to the playoffs and enjoyed Skate Night at Lynnwood Bowl & Skate. These events gave everyone a chance to connect and have fun.

Supporting Our Community

Supporting Hazel Wolf families remained a priority through our Coat Drive and Gift Card Drive. In early December, the Neurodivergent Support Group also gathered for a family potluck, creating a warm, welcoming space for parents of neurodiverse children to connect, share experiences, and build understanding and confidence.

Annual Events

Our annual events continue to be some of the most memorable moments. Families showed up in full Halloween spirit for the Fall Harvest Festival, kids sang their hearts out during the K-5 Movie Night, Hazel Wolf families and community members came from near and far to shop and consign at the Winter Gear & Ski Swap, and we celebrated our amazing teachers and staff with the Staff Appreciation Breakfast, a favorite for our staff.

Thank you to all the families that participated and/or volunteered at our many events. This couldn’t have happened without you. The school year is off to a strong start, and we’re excited for the rest of the year.
