📣May Student Shout Out
This month, we celebrate fourth graders Evan, Kosal, Lucas, Nathan, and Soben, who are part of the Hazel Wolf Chess Club through the Hall of Fame after school program.
In February, they competed at the Decatur Gator Fest Tournament, earning 5th place as a team and bringing home a trophy for the school. Lucas and Nathan also earned individual trophies.
All five students qualified for the Washington State Scholastic Chess Tournament, where they competed in April. As a team, the boys placed 25th out of 246 schools in the Premier section —way to represent your school! ♟️👏
