Girls On the Run

Hi All, if anyone is interested in starting a Girls on the Run team at Hazel Wolf, you can contact Jessica at jessica@girlsrun.org.

Learn more on our Start a Team page! Site applications are due September 12th.

  • Our Fall 2025 season runs the Week of September 29th – the week of November 17th, culminating in a site-based 5K that helps participants find confidence through accomplishment.
  • Our research-based curriculum blends physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy.
  • All the materials, training, and support you need for a successful program are free to the host site, and partial or full scholarships and running gear are available to any participant in need.

Celebrating a Successful School Year

The 2024–2025 school year wraps up on June 18 — and what a year it’s been! It was full of events and activities that brought us together.

From the Welcome Picnic and Fall Festival to the “Ready. Set. GLOW” dance, Winter Clothing & Ski Swap, Mariners games, and multiple movie nights, the Hazel Wolf community truly showed up. Sustainability efforts like the Ridwell and TerraCycle drives helped families responsibly recycle hard-to-dispose-of items. We also hosted two impactful talks—one by Amy Lang on online safety and communication, and another focused on ADHD, neurodiversity, autism, and early childhood development. The PTSA raised $53,000 through the annual Blue Envelope Campaign, helping fund field trips, staff grants, and academic resources. And there was so much more!

None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you, parents, for making the 2024–2025 school year such a success!

Moving on Up!

Congratulations all the Kindergarteners, 5th graders, and 8th graders celebrating their promotions this week!

5th Grade Families: Get Involved with JAMS PTSA

Do you have a 5th grader (rising 6th grader) this year heading to Jane Addams Middle School (JAMS) in the fall?

Would you like to help support JAMS students? Have you ever considered getting more involved with the PTSA?

The Jane Addams Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association (JAMS PTSA) is currently seeking candidates to serve on its board.

There are open roles ranging from formal elected positions to appointed committee leads—there’s space for every family to get involved. Key activities include connecting the community, fundraising, deciding how best to allocate funds to support students, assisting with school events and programs, and promoting upcoming activities.

Take a look at the form and consider nominating yourself or another family member by end of day, May 30, 2025.

Fill out the nomination form.
