Did you hear the news? Your Hazel Wolf K-8 PTSA is hosting its first IN-PERSON party fundraiser in FIVE YEARS!
On Saturday, March 2nd (6-9pm), we’re gathering at Lake Forest Park Civic Club to put the FUN in fundraising! Book a sitter, bring your friends, and join us for an evening of dinner, drinks and dancing – with proceeds helping to support all kinds of amazing programs at our school; from field trips to staff grants, outdoor education to tutoring.
The Spring Fling is a chance for you to mingle with friends, meet new families, catch up with staff, and – most importantly – have fun! Once you’ve had a chance to enjoy some tasty appetizers, a delicious Vietnamese bánh mì sandwich, and beverages from the bar, we’ll introduce a little friendly competition with the best kind of auction… a Dessert Dash!
Team up with your table and pool your bids on a selection of delicious, donated desserts. The highest table bid gets to choose their favorite dessert first – and so it goes, until all desserts are spoken for. (If you’re reading this and would like to donate a dessert, please email fundraising@hazelwolfk8.org – we’d love to hear from you!)
We’re also super-thrilled to announce Guitar Gil and Friends – featuring our very own Mr. Stevens – will be performing live during the evening!
All in all, what’s not to love? Tickets are on sale now and space is limited, so don’t delay – buy your tickets today!

This event is for everyone! Not a skier? No problem! Get the winter layers you need to keep you and your family warm and dry during the cold months ahead. And if you do ski or snowboard – make sure you’re ready to head into the mountains once the snow hits!
The Winter Clothing and Ski Swap will feature gently used winter apparel and ski/snowboard gear (see section on consignment below). There will also be new gear to purchase courtesy of Hazel Wolf family-owned Dusty’s ski shop! Get outfitted for winter and help raise money for our school!
This event is open to the public and anyone who wants to stay warm this winter, find/consign gear and support a great cause is welcome!

Do you need volunteers to help make this event a success? I’d love to help out!
We need volunteers to help with this year’s great event. Please see the link to help with consignment drop offs, event set up, support and closing up. It’s a great way to help support the kids at Hazel Wolf K-8!!! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C094CADAE22ABFBC61-45365772-hwk8#/
What consignment items are most likely to sell?
Winter clothes and layers were a big hit last year! In particular, gently used socks, rainboots, waterproof pants in a variety of sizes were very popular items. We would love for people to consign their used ski gear too.
Is there a way that I can drop off my consignment options quickly?
Yes! This year you can pre-register your consignment items online! No need to fill out paperwork on site, this year you can register all consignment items before you drop them off. Then bring your consignment items to one of our drop off dates and we can help you determine the best price, answer additional questions, and you’re all set. Volunteers are available to help with registration at consignment drop off, too.
Pre-register here using the link or the QR code below:
Bring us your gear, tell us what you’d like to sell it for, and we’ll handle the rest. 40% of each item sold will go to benefit the PTSA, the rest is yours!
The 2023 Hazel Wolf Spirit Gear Sale is on! Printed order forms have been sent home with students, and orders may also be placed online through October 25th. Orders will be delivered to student classrooms by December 1st.
You can shop online or just see what will be available at the Library. Instructions are available on the landing page of the website. The virtual Book Fair where families can shop and purchase books through the Secret Garden website runs simultaneously. If families order books through the site, they will be delivered to school for students to bring home and the Hazel Wolf Library still receives a portion of the sales!
Students can shop at the Book Fair before school, during lunch recess and after school. Classes will also be able to browse during their regular library times. Dr. V will provide students with forms so they can create wish lists and families can budget and send appropriate funds with students (or shop together after school every day and until 6pm on Wednesday).
Families can also purchase books from teacher wish lists for their classrooms! Dr. V will be accepting credit cards, checks and cash. A portion of all proceeds will go directly to the Hazel Wolf Library Fund to help build our collection 😊
