Spring Masquerade Auction Recap

We are so grateful to the community showing up and making the Spring Masquerade a huge success! We raised nearly $50,000 which supports the PTSA programming at Hazel Wolf K8. If you weren’t able to attend or win any silent auction bids, you can still financially support our school with donations (or family/friend donations!) by visiting our givebacks donation page or dropping a check off.

A big thank you to Joe Tobiason for photographing the auction!

📣April Student Shout Out

This month, we celebrate our fourth and fifth graders who took part in the Seattle Public Library’s Global Reading Challenge, a fun program where students read selected books and work in teams to answer trivia questions.

In February, 56 students (33 fourth graders and 23 fifth graders) competed in the trivia portion, forming these eight teams:

  • Book Potatoes: Bethel, Lincoln, Maya, Isadora, Jalen, Mae, Ellory
  • The Thunderbirds: Maxwell, Elliott, Soben, Phoenix, Rohan, Julia, Miles
  • Goats: Paige, Nora, Karis, Kiera, Emelyn, Corinne
  • Tomato Potatoes: Dean W. Zaki, Isabella, Hailey, John, Nathan
  • Book Bandits: Dean I., Xavier, Imraan, Nico, Imran, William, Wesley
  • Awesome Avocados: Alex, Emmie, Sylvie, Cora, Thalia, Hermela, Sara
  • Book Turtles: Ella, Rufta, Samuel, Rosalind
  • Universal Galaxy Stars: Emma, Henley, Wyatt, Yusra, Genevieve

Congratulations to The Thunderbirds, our in-school champions! This all–fourth grade team represented Hazel Wolf at the semi-finals in March and earned 3rd place. 🎉

Kudos to all our readers for their teamwork, enthusiasm, and love of reading! 📚✨
