Ridwell Plastic Film Recycling Drive, Nov 1st

Our school is keeping plastic film out of landfills with Ridwell this fall! Participate in the Ridwell Plastic Film Recycling Drive on Friday, November 1st. Start collecting your ziptop bags, grocery bags, bubble wrap, and lots more and bring them to school on Friday, Nov. 1st. Ridwell will partner with Trex to turn it into decking planks!

Curious about at-home recycling pickup from Ridwell? They collect hundreds of common household items you can’t recycle curbside, like plastic food packaging, lightbulbs, clothes, and Styrofoam. Sign up through get.ridwell.com/hwk8 by December 15th and your membership will count toward rewards for our school!

Our E-STEM Team needs volunteers to help with the drive. Please email E-STEM volunteer Koko for more info and to sign up: peculiaromen@gmail.com

Volunteers Needed for Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival is coming up on Sunday, October 27 from 12pm-3pm. To make it a successful event, we need folks to help with set up, games, food, and clean up. The volunteer duties are split into 2 shifts. This way, you can help for half of the festival and spend the other half enjoying it with your family! Thank you to those who have already signed up to volunteer.

If you have questions, please contact the events team at communityevents@hazelfwolfk8.org.

Membership

Our membership link is live! Everyone is encouraged to join the PTSA as advocates for children. Membership does not commit you to attending meetings or volunteering. We have great reasons why you should become a member on our Join the PTSA page.

Curriculum Night

Curriculum Night starts tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1st with our Middle Schoolers. Meet in the Cafeteria at 5:40pm to chat with the Admin then at 6pm, we’ll break out into each period. See the Sept. 29 Family Bulletin for the full schedule.

And for K-5, save the date for the following Wednesday, October 9th. To keep it streamlined, Curriculum Night will be held virtually on Teams. This allows families to have dedicated time within their grade.
