Please join us in the Cafetorium (or Via Zoom) from 6:30 – 8:00 pm on January 18th for the PTSA General Session. The agenda for the meeting will include discussion of the process involved in hiring a new principal since Principal Nelsen is retiring. Several members of the board will also present about what they are working on and how members of the community can get involved. We hope to see you there!

All interested students grades K-8 are invited to participate in the Hazel Wolf All-School Spelling Bee on Thursday, February 16th, 2023 at 1:45pm in the Cafetorium and show off their spelling skills to family, friends, and the Hazel Wolf community.
The winner of our bee will have the opportunity to represent Hazel Wolf at the Regional Spelling Bee of King and Snohomish County at Town Hall Seattle on March 26th, 2023!

If your student is interested in participating in our All-School Spelling Bee, here are some useful
resources provided by Scripps to help them prepare:
The Bee has a free book club for middle-grade readers. The Bee’s Bookshelf partners with children’s authors and publishers to highlight a new book every month. Sign up for the book club to receive monthly spelling lists and other resources via email.
Word Club, the Bee’s premier study app, is free to download and includes the 450 words on the 2023 School Spelling Bee Study List and all 4,000 words in Words of the Champions, the recommended study list for School Champions. Your child can choose from five spelling game modes and three word meaning game modes.
Every year, the Bee curates the Great Words, Great Works book list, a selection of 27 titles chosen for their rich vocabulary and engaging content. Your child can read all 450 words on the School Spelling Bee Study List within the context of these great books!
