Your Donations in Action

Did you know that your donations helped our school nurse, Nurse Vaternick, become a certified CPR trainer? Thanks to your support, she can now train other staff members!

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to join our board for the 25/26 school year. Here are positions we still need to fill: 

  • Auction lead/co-lead
  • Auction donation collection sub-lead
  • Business donations connection sub-lead
  • Direct Ask lead
  • Fundraising admin lead – including monitoring email inbox and Little Green Light (our donor management software)
  • Move-a-thon sub-lead

Book Bonanza, June 9-13

 Sign up to set up or clean up at Book Bonanza.

Book Donations: Starting June 2, the library will start accepting gently used picture books, early readers, chapter books, and Young Adult novels.

PTSA Resource Survey, June 14

Please complete the survey by June 14th. Fill out a survey for each child that is enrolled at Hazel Wolf.

The survey is intended to help the PTSA allocate funding in the way that best fits our students’ needs, given the funding cuts happening next year. 

Community Funding Conversation

Ridwell Film Drive, Now until June 17

Huge thanks to everyone who has brought their grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, and more to the Ridwell bins by the school entrance. The final day to drop off your items is Tuesday, June 17th. Learn what types of plastic film can be accepted.

Great news, 10 people signed up for Ridwell using the Hazel Wolf link, and now we get free film pick up for next school year!

Lost and Found

The last day of school is June 18th. Don’t forget to check the lost and found, located just off the front office area.  Parents can access the Lost and Found anytime during office hours; please check in at the front desk.  Students are encouraged to check it before or after school.

The next school year will be here before you know it—keep these important dates on your radar! Alternatively, you can add the PTSA google calendar to your calendar.

  • Welcome Picnic, Sept 12 from 6-7:30pm

Book Bonanza and Field Day Volunteers Needed

The school is organizing two great end of year events and they need volunteers! Please make sure you are cleared to be a school volunteer.

Volunteer Orientation

There are two remaining Volunteer Orientations for the school year.  Please make sure you attend one of these orientations, as it is a required step in the volunteer clearance process.  These meetings are on Teams.

  • Monday, May 19th at 5:00pm
  • Wednesday, June 4th at 9:30am

Book Bonanza, June 9-13

Classes will browse the HUGE selection of books June 9-13 during class library times, lunch recesses, and before and after school. Friday afternoon we will encourage students to revisit the Bonanza and select more books to ensure families have enough to read all summer!

  • Book Donations: Starting June 2, the library will start accepting gently used picture books, early readers, chapter books, and Young Adult novels.
  • Set Up (June 6) and Clean Up (June 13) Volunteers: Sign up to volunteer at Book Bonanza.

Field Day, June 13

Field Day is Friday, June 13th and the deadline to sign up to volunteer is Friday, May 30th. Sign up for Field Day today! Ms. Sullivan and Ms. Jackson will be checking to make sure you are cleared to volunteer for that day.

Reminder: Hazel Wolf Community Skate Night, May 23

Kick off your Memorial Day weekend at Hazel Wolf Community Skate Night! Join us this Friday, May 23rd at 5 PM at Lynnwood Bowl & Skate (6210 200th St SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036).

Rental information: $12 for roller skates, add $4 for in-line skates. 🛼

Join us Wednesday, May 14 from 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Hazel Wolf library or online for our Hazel Wolf PTSA/Community Funding Meeting to discuss next steps for programs facing cuts from the district and state.

5th Grade Families: Get Involved with JAMS PTSA

Do you have a 5th grader (rising 6th grader) this year heading to Jane Addams Middle School (JAMS) in the fall?

Would you like to help support JAMS students? Have you ever considered getting more involved with the PTSA?

The Jane Addams Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association (JAMS PTSA) is currently seeking candidates to serve on its board.

There are open roles ranging from formal elected positions to appointed committee leads—there’s space for every family to get involved. Key activities include connecting the community, fundraising, deciding how best to allocate funds to support students, assisting with school events and programs, and promoting upcoming activities.

Take a look at the form and consider nominating yourself or another family member by end of day, May 30, 2025.
