Give Back to the Wolf Pack: 2024/2025 Direct Appeal
Join us in carrying forward the legacy of Hazel Wolf with our Blue Envelope Campaign, this year’s direct appeal fundraiser!
The Hazel Wolf K-8 PTSA works to enhance the learning experience for every child in a way that fosters whole child well-being and success. We invite you to support the PTSA mission to empower Hazel Wolf students by contributing to this campaign.
Our contribution request is $240 per student, or $20/month.
We recognize that each family has different financial priorities and encourage you to donate the amount that feels right for your family. Our goal is for every family to return their blue envelopes with the “I Love Hazel Wolf Because” worksheet regardless of the level of giving. Every year we see a range from $0 to well above the per-student ask. 100% participation is an important goal! Please note any donation amount can be broken into monthly payments.

Donations are gladly accepted by credit card, cash or check.
- Cash donations can be dropped off at the school office (11520 12th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125). A receipt can be provided upon request.
- Make checks payable to “Hazel Wolf K-8 PTSA” and mail to/drop off at 11520 12th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125.
- Credit or debit card donations can be made on our campaign page.

Creating for a Cause
Your generosity, combined with others, shapes the school that we all know and love. That’s why we’re asking kids for their help too! We want our students to create a work of art that illustrates something they love about Hazel Wolf.
Send in the completed “I Love Hazel Wolf Because…” worksheet with your donation or drop off at the front desk. Your child’s art will be displayed in the front windows.

Why the Blue Envelope Campaign?
At Hazel Wolf K-8, we’re proud to be unique, just like our incredible community of students, parents, and educators. We wanted to create a fundraising campaign that not only reflects our identity but also makes giving back a breeze for our beloved parents. While many families choose to give online, the Blue Envelope is a tangible reminder that your support is needed and appreciated.
What does your support do for our students?
During the 2024-2025 school year, the PTSA will continue to support four major areas of focus:
- Staff Grants: Every full-time teacher at Hazel Wolf receives a PTSA Classroom Grant of $400, allowing them to enhance the learning experience of their students. The grant can be used for classroom supplies, curricula, books, software, and website or magazine subscriptions. PTSA Grants also support the Engineering, Art, Music, and Physical Education programs.
- Tutoring: The PTSA provides funding for seven tutors working with students in 1st-8th grade. Tutors work with individual students and small groups. Each week we provide over 100 hours of support for our elementary and middle school students.
- Outdoor Education & Field Trips: PTSA helps fund class field trips for all grades, as well as overnight trips like Nature Bridge for grades 4-8.
- School & Community Events: From the Spelling Bee to Field Day to Multicultural Night and everything in between, the PTSA helps support events that help strengthen the Hazel Wolf community.
- Kindergarten Jump Start: SPS recently pulled back funding from Jump Start programs around the city. PTSA will cover these costs to preserve this experience for our youngest students.
Will there be spring fundraiser this year?
At this time the Blue Envelope is the only planned large fundraiser for the 2024-2025 school year. We would love to join together in the spring to celebrate our community, and we will need help planning and executing this event. If you’re interested in helping plan a spring event, please contact: fundraising@hazelwolfk8.org.
Wondering about possible district changes to our school?
The money raised during the Blue Envelope campaign will go towards programs that the PTSA supports as approved in our 2024-2025 SY budget.
