Building Resilience Through Mindfulness Workshop – Tuesday, March 16

As the tedium of Covid continues, parents are feeling a teeny bit stressed and our kids pick it up. Join a supportive workshop for simple family-friendly practices that help you step away from anxiety to revive your energy and boost family connections, taught by Hazel Wolf special education teacher Andrea D’Asaro.

Parents will enjoy proven practices like soft belly breathing, mindful eating and unrestricted movement that engage all of your senses and create islands of serenity for those tough moments. We will enjoy self-compassion practices that transform worries and bring deep care to ourselves and our families. We’ll have fun with infectiously funny animal breathing that can soothe difficult moments with your student and help overcome online frustrations.

Parents Supporting Parents Virtual Community Discussion – Tuesday, March 2

Thanks to everyone who came to the last meeting. There was so much helpful information shared that we decided to have another meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021. By then we’ll be coming up on a year of COVID. It’s a good time to take stock and think about where we are now and what we’ve learned. How are we doing? How are we tending to our mental health? How about our kids’ mental health? Let’s get together and share some ideas. Everyone is welcome!
