Everyone is invited to join the final PTSA General Meeting of the school year on Wed. June 9th. We’ll be hearing from guest speaker, David Lewis, Psy.D., who is currently the Program Manager of Behavioral Health Services for Seattle Public Schools. He will be focusing his talk on anxiety, related to our students’ experiences this past year during the pandemic and their transition into full-time in person learning next year.
Also, we will be voting to approve the 2021-22 Executive Board and budget. This is a meeting you don’t want to miss! The meeting is on Weds, June 9th and begins at 6:30pm.

More about our speaker David Lewis:
David Lewis, Psy.D. is currently the Program Manager of Behavioral Health Services for Seattle Public Schools. The department is dedicated to lowering discipline rates, increasing attendance, and positively impacting the social emotional well-being (and academic achievement), proportionately for all students.
Lewis is an Affiliate Professor at UW in Seattle/Bothell, where he lectures across various departments within the realms of Behavioral Sciences, Social Work, and Education. He is most known for his expertise and research related to the content area of Neuroscience, and that includes topics related to; Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES), Elevated Anxiety, Complex Trauma, and Toxic Stress.
