Dear Wolf Pack:
The PTSA Board and Auction Committee have been carefully tracking recommendations regarding COVID-19. The latest update by Public Health – Seattle & King County currently recommends cancelling or postponing large events. Additionally, the Public Affair’s Department of Seattle Public School has advised that auctions, fundraisers and events supported by school partners (such as PTAs) should consider alternative plans to protect the health of our community. Given these recommendations, the PTSA Board and Auction Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the Annual Parent Social and live auction, which was to take place on Friday, March 27.
The PTSA Board and Auction Committee have been working to re-imagine the live auction, which is our largest fundraiser of the year. We have determined the most effective manner to leverage all the amazing efforts and item donations is to adjust the live auction event into an all online format.
Hazel Wolf K-8 has an incredible history of pulling together to support our school. Today, we hope our entire community can come together to embrace the online auction format. We need everyone’s help to make sure this is a successful fundraiser and to support the PTSA’s mission to enhance the learning experience for every child.
More details about the new 2020 Hazel Wolf K-8 Online Auction will be coming in the next couple weeks. In the meantime, please refer to this FAQ that has been established about the online auction.
