Hazel Wolf parents, staff and students are encouraged to join the Hazel Wolf K-8 Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) for our first general session meeting of the year. It is this Thursday evening, September 26, from 6:30-8:00pm in the cafetorium. You do not have to be a PTSA member to attend.
Meet our new PTSA board and what we’ve been up to the last couple months– setting PTSA priorities and establishing a budget for the year. Also, we will talk about upcoming PTSA activities and how you can get involved.
You’ll have an opportunity to hear from Principal Debbie Nelsen with a school update. Assistant Principal Janine Madaffari will talk about how teachers are bringing the practice of restorative justice to Hazel Wolf K-8. Restorative justice empowers students to resolve conflicts on their own and in small groups, and it’s a growing practice at schools around the country.
Childcare will be provided by middle school students (childcare donations are suggested and will go directly to the students providing the care).
Please bring questions, suggestions, ideas—or just come listen and learn. We’ll see you on Thursday!
