We had a huge turnout at Bike To School Day on May 8th– the count was 99 bikes, so we broke our record and just barely missed our goal of 100 bikers. Let’s hit triple digits next year!
It was a beautiful morning and students enjoyed giveaways such as stickers, bracelets and snack bars. New this year, all kids who rode bikes or non-motorized scooters or boards received a raffle ticket to win a nice BPA-free water bottle or T-Shirt donated by Ride Bicycles (the bike shop located a mile or so down the bike lane on Roosevelt.). Thank you SDOT, Ride Bicycles and parents for the donations that helped make the day fun.
