Principal’s Weekly Update – Feb. 26

Important Dates

  • Feb 28 (Wed) – Game Night 6:00 – 7:30
  • Mar 2 (Fri)- Spirit Day (Multiples/Twin Day) & Buddy Day

New Information

1. MS Semester Grades on the Source – The students final Semester grades are available to view on the Source. We will be mailing home report cards for any students receiving Ds or Es.

2. Contacting Your Child – This is especially an issue at MS, but If parents/family need to reach their child during the school day, please call 252-4610. Do NOT call or text the student during class. Phones that vibrate or ring in class cause great disturbance to the students. School policy states that students’ phones are off during classes, so asking your student to be available via cell phone puts them in a tough place when they are trying to follow the school rules. Thanks for helping your student follow the school expectations.

3. Jump Rope for Heart – Last few days left to participate in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser! All donations due by February 28th! Thank you to all who have participated so far.

4. Game Night – Join us on Wed the 28th for games throughout the building! Activities are from 6:00 – 7:30 with dinner provided in the lunchroom.

5. 5th Grade Field Trip to NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament – All three 5th grade classes are going to be attending the NCAA Women’s Basketball Regional Tournament on Thursday, March 1st! This is an exciting opportunity for our students to see all the basketball skills they just worked on in action at the collegiate level. We need 8 chaperones! If you are interested in being a chaperone for the field trip, please contact Mrs. Krebs ASAP! Email her at:, or call her at: 206-252-4541, to let her know you would like to be a chaperone for that day. Please make sure you have filled out and completed all necessary items to be a chaperone on a field trip. See the Hazel Wolf website for what is required.

1. Auction Tickets – Join the Galactic Wolfpack at the auction on Friday, March 23rd! Tickets are currently $50 and going fast! Head to the PTSA website for the link to purchase tickets:

2. Auction Item Procurement – Part of the excitement of the auction is the variety of things available to purchase! Large items, small items, restaurants experiences, sporting events … the auction can use donated items and experiences to raise money for the PTSA. Consider building a basket with some friends or donating a skill that you can teach to others. The possibilities are endless!

If you have any questions contact our procurement chair Tabitha Burns at If you need more procurement forms they are on the PTSA website:
