Fall Afterschool Online Registration is Open!

The University YMCA is providing Hazel Wolf K-8 afterschool enrichment classes for the 2017-2018 school year, and online registration for the fall quarter is now open! Fall quarter is September 6 to October 27, and classes run Monday through Friday after school until as late as 5:45 p.m. There are three class sessions on Wednesday to accommodate early release, and two sessions the rest of the week.

2017-18 bell times: 8:55 a.m.-3:25 p.m.
Wednesday early release: 8:55 a.m.-2:10 p.m.

Hard copy registration forms went home at the end of the school year, but the form has been slightly updated since then. The latest version (PDF form-fillable) is available here. Forms can be filled out an emailed to universityprograms@seattleymca.org, faxed to 206.524.8613, or mailed to 5003 12th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105. You can also contact University YMCA at the email above or by calling 206.524.1400.

To help you better understand how the registration works, we’ve provided some additional information below.

For families needing afterschool activities every day: check out the Enrichment Pass option, which includes all five days and all class times (including early release on Wednesday!) for $495/month ($440/month if you are a YMCA member). There is definitely cost savings with the Enrichment Pass if you need care every day, plus it guarantees you early class selection each session.

For families wanting to sign their children up for individual classes: If you are signing your child(ren) up for only a few classes per week, individual class registration is the way to go. Individual classes are $110 per quarter ($100 per quarter for YMCA members); however, Martial Arts on Friday for grades K-5 and Girls Self Defense on Monday for grades 6-8 are being provided by an outside vendor and are therefore $165 per quarter. Also, Mountaineers, Carpentry and Microsoft Club are all two-session classes and are therefore $220 per quarter ($200 per quarter for YMCA members).

Financial assistance: The YMCA strives to make programs available to all children and confidential assistance may be provided to the extent possible. To learn more and apply, visit http://ykids.seattleymca.org/financial-assistance.

The schedule of fall offerings is outlined below with short descriptions. (To read the full class descriptions, download the registration form.) To register online for individual classes, you can click on the day of the week below to be taken directly to that day’s selection on the YMCA website. You will need to set up a login on the YMCA website to register online.
